About BITSAT 2021

BITSAT 2021 is a computer-based entrance exam conducted by the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani for admissions into various B.Tech courses at its three campuses located at Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad. The exam is conducted online and around 3 lakh students apply for this entrance exam every year. Class 12 board toppers are exempted from appearing in BITSAT exam.

BITS Pilani has postponed BITSAT 2021 exam due to COVID-19 pandemic. The authorities have extended the BITSAT application form date till June 30. The exam is now likely to be conducted in July-August.

Steps to fill BITSAT Application Form 2021

Candidates may refer to the steps mentioned below for filling the BITSAT 2021 application form:

  • Visit the BITSAT 2021 form official website at bitsadmission.com and click to register.
  • Enter the basic personal and academic details while filling the application form.
  • Candidates will be required to upload scanned photograph and signature in the prescribed format.
  • The next step requires candidates to pay the application fee in online mode through credit card/ debit card/ online banking or even in offline mode

Should have passed class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognized state or central board of education

Year of Passing

Should have passed class 12 or equivalent examination in 2020 or in 2021

Adequate proficiency in English

Aggregate Marks

Minimum 75% in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with at least 60% marks in each of the subjects

BITSAT Admission For Board Toppers

First rank students of all the central and state boards in India for the year 2021 will be given direct admission to the programme of their choice, irrespective of their BITSAT-2021 score as per the eligibility criteria mentioned above. Further details about this scheme will be available at the BITS admission likely in June 2021.


BITSAT Slot Booking 2021

The authorities do not conduct the BITSAT 2021 exam on a single day but the exam is conducted in several days and slots. Thus, registered candidates have to choose the preferred slot for appearing in the BITSAT exam. The slot so booked by candidates shall reflect in the admit card that follows the BITSAT slot booking process. It may be noted that slot booking shall be allowed on a ‘first come first serve’ basis only, therefore, registered candidates should not delay and book the slots quickly when the BITSAT 2021 slot booking commences.

BITSAT 2021 Cutoff

The authorities release the cutoff marks for BITSAT which reflect the minimum marks that a candidate has to score in order to be eligible for admission in the participating institutes. The BITSAT 2021 cutoff will be announced after each of the iteration rounds and this will be followed by the institute wise cutoff marks. The various factors considered for releasing the BITSAT cutoff include the previous year’s cutoff, difficulty level of the exam, total number of candidates registered, total number of seats offered, and so on. It may be noted that the cutoff marks may vary for the different course as well as the institute opted for candidates. Those who have marks above the cutoff marks stand a higher chance of admission through BITSAT 2021.
